It no longer grants "Leech applies instantly during Flask effect". Vessel of Vinktar has been reduced to 20% Life and Mana leech. Partly due to pathfinder (not as much anymore) the flask enabled permanent uptime of "godmode" leech. Vinktar's was nerfed in general (which was necessary) but the execution of this nerf was poorly conducted. Revert the 2.5.0 Change, keeping the 2.4 and 2.5.1 changes Attack builds feel like they hit more often than BV at the moment. It feels like a cooking timer that is ticking. Sound wise, the skill does not feel like a "vortex" anymore. Even if the total leech is the same or even more, if you get spiked twice within that delay you will die. This will inherently decrease clear speed as well as often leave singular mobs alive when leaving a pack. When charging into / entering packs, often there will be a delay before killing mobs. This change has negatively affected gameplay in the following ways: The skill now has a base hit frequency of 600ms and has 10% increased hit rate per active blade. On league I recently revisited the build I got my ranger to 99 with on my 97 Assassin. I have roughly 10k+ hours on this game and have leveled two characters to 100, and another to 99. The balance for BV and Vinktar's were based too hard on pathfinder, and now with the nerf to Master Surgeon, the result is a negative player experience. You either use Flasks (now nerfed and inconsistent), or use a leech gem. The sources for spell builds compared to attack builds at the moment is laughable. The game's damage is so heavily weighted towards oneshots and spikes, that leech has become the best counters for this. The amount of sources for Spell Leech are minuscule. The leech and damage output are too high, but the flask usage (duration/charge consumption) is too low. The effect is inconstant and does not feel like a flask should. You are also a lot more prone to one shots due to gapped leech. It doesn't hit often enough for enjoyable gameplay.
